Abstract

Vertically Integrated Projects (VIP) is a multidisciplinary, team-based learning model that enables students from different disciplines and years of study to work together on real world projects. Students work on applied research projects which provide opportunities to develop a range of personal and professional skills that prepare them for the world of work. Staff also benefit by working in partnership with students and developing their own research and collaborative skills. This workshop will showcase the huge benefits of VIPs and how they can be embedded in the curriculum to promote skills development and applied learning opportunities
