Abstract

In Working-Class Queers, I explore not-fitting in as a long-term structural condition persisting through cycles of crisis, austerity, and recession. The current cost of living crisis is not new or unfamiliar for those living through the repeated sense that the world - even a supposedly post-equalities, 'Rainbow Europe' one - is not one for them.
