Vocabulary control online in MicroISIS databases: a Pascal interface

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

The creation of complex databases entails the use of online vocabulary tools for achieving consistency in naming subjects, objects, countries and languages during the data entry stage. Such tools are important for the standardization of terms and codes. One of the most promising tools for this purpose is the VOCON.PAS, a Pascal interface program for use with MicroISIS software for online selection of terms and/or codes from a vocabulary control tool to specified fields of one or more records of a MicroISIS database.
