Abstract
As Artificial Intelligence (AI) continues to evolve, so too does its potential to support diverse student populations in their academic development and success. This case study explores the use of ChatGPT, a large language model, in generating practice assessments that were subsequently reviewed by undergraduate students in the UK. The study demonstrates how AI can support the development of important academic skills by promoting active student engagement, encouraging the use of critical thinking skills, and modelling academic integrity, all of which are necessary for student success. This case study contributes to the growing body of literature on the use of AI in supporting inclusive higher education and provides insights into the benefits of integrating AI into teaching and assessment practices. By using AI to stimulate discussions, facilitate critical thinking, and provide interactive learning experiences, we can create an educational environment that nurtures student success in the face of evolving technological advancements.
