Abstract
This body of the work has been conducted as a part of the Ultra High Bypass Ratio (UHBR) engine thermal management systems project. Current fin parts and the method of manufacture were explored. Physical experiments have also been conducted. Lessons in cutting, bending, stacking and rig design have been learnt and some of the key recommendations involve the automation of the process of assembling the components for the curved heat exchanger.
