Abstract

In the near future Internet access will be commonly available in two forms to most palmtops: wide bandwidth of a low-cost land-based connection while docked, and limited capacity expensive wireless connections while mobile. The coming 3G networks will help the bandwidth but the disparity of connection cost and bandwidth between docked and undocked devices will continue.
