Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contribution book

Abstract

limited angle torque motors have various applications in industry and so, performance improvement of this actuators, has attracted considerable research subjects. This paper presents the analysis and numerical simulation of torque characteristics of the slotted limited angle torque motor. The effect of structure parameters on the torque characteristics is studied using finite element analysis. Moreover, an effective cogging torque suppression technique is applied to the motor. These analyses provide a theoretical basis for the optimization of the slotted limited angle torque motors.
