Abstract
This teaching case starts with a review of historical advertisements that appeared in North American newspapers about the buying and selling of slaves. A current project that is analysing these advertisements - Adverts250 - is outlined before the case moves to consider Modern Slavery and its role in manufacturing of goods entering EU markets. Responses to the challenges modern slavery represents are considered from a marketing perspective, and recent changes to regulation of companies are outlined.
