Abstract

To support Scottish Government's planning for UNCRC implementation, the Scottish Government commissioned the development of a Theory of Change for Making Children’s Rights Real in Scotland. Hearing from over 60 organisations, this ‘Theory of Change’ is a vision for how children’s rights can be realised across Scotland, showing the different journeys towards this vision. The evidence papers examine what is already known about embedding children’s rights, and how to approach similar kinds of large-scale changes. These papers outline the gaps in current knowledge, the challenges ahead, and the building blocks in place to make a difference to outcomes for children and young people. The report also helps national partners to recognise where they have a role to play in supporting the UNCRC vision and how they can drive forward change that makes children’s rights real.
