Abstract

Tin stripping solution arises from a stage in the manufacture of printed circuit boards. This waste contains copper and tin that could be recovered for reuse, By focussing on this waste stream, a systematic approach has been, developed to determine how the metals can be recovered, Pourbaix diagrams have been constructed for the metals and compared to find the pH or potential where the metals can be separated according to their state. Experiments were carried out to verify the theoretical findings. copyright The Electrochemical Society.
