Abstract

This paper addresses the problem of achieving accurate calculations for vapour-liquid equilibrium behaviour in the presence of the (new) oils in use with HFC refrigerants by introducing a correlation which depends only on the gas constant, critical temperature and molecular weight of the blend constituent and the molecular weight of the oil; i.e. the method depends on commonly available data and not a specialised measurements. The work is believed to be of value to plant designers and research workers.
