Abstract
This report, commissioned by the Welsh Government, presents the findings of an initial scoping study on future territorial cooperation in the Irish Sea area. The work includes:
•insights based on experience of territorial cooperation (the report differentiates between territorial cooperation more generally and European territorial cooperation for which the report will use two terms interchangeably, namely ETC and Interreg);
•an overview of the area in terms of shared development needs and policy contexts;
•options and models for territorial cooperation; and
•recommendations for future territorial cooperation in the Irish Sea area.
