Teaching report: Review of design in the UG and PGT curricula (May 2020)

Research output: Working paperOther working paper

Abstract

This is an internal report for CPE. Design is of major importance in UG and PGT curricula. Indeed, it is one of the two requirements for accreditation from professional bodies along with laboratory/practical education. My starting point for the review was to define the various types of design, and then to identify where and when the various types of design are covered in the curriculum. The report revealed gaps as well as duplication, and information that has not been covered in the correct order. One outcome of the report is that I have spoken to various members of staff about how changes/improvements might be made.
