Abstract
The use of synchronously pumped optical parametric oscillators (SPOPO) is widespread as sources of both tunable laser radiation and short pulses. It is observed that the for a suitable mismatch between the pump repetition period and the resonated pulse cavity round trip time can be considerably shorter than the pump pulse. The numerical results on the quality and the stability of pulses describe the evolution of the pump. The mathematical equation are integrated for each round trip of the cavity with appropriate boundary conditions. Amplification of the low intensity tail of the resonated pulse ensures sensitivity to the present noise.
