Abstract

Equimolar mixtures of AlMe(3), Bu(t)OK, and pmdeta produce either title compound depending on whether solvent-free, dimeric [(AlMe(3))(2)] or the amine-solvated monomer [Me(3)Al .(H)N(CH(2)Ph)(2)] is used as the source of the alane.
