Abstract

There are many initiatives in the UK and globally that aim to make cities ‘smarter’ – being able to draw on digital technologies to enable them to function more efficiently for their citizens and enterprises. Increasingly, digital technologies can support the move to a ‘greener’ environment by providing the data and services needed to understand the environmental challenges of the city and the actions needed to reduce their impact.
