Abstract
The trend in wireless communication systems is that they will become more flexible and customised One application area envisaged in this regard is the introduction of third party players for provision of enhanced new services. This will require specific security techniques to support new features. Developing the security solutions should take into account requirements of multiparty operation on the one hand and limitation of the wireless bearers on the other hand. This paper addresses issues of provision of fundamental authentication in the multiparty system using a public key infrastructure (PKI), with some preliminary assessment of the proposed technique.
