Abstract

Existing and previous research on project failures has concentrated on its definition and critical success factors (CSFs), rather than establishing how exactly failure is measured. In this article, qualitative techniques are used to propose a new framework for measuring project success and failure. This framework is validated in order to ensure that it can be applicable to real projects. Of particular importance is that this approach to project success separates performance and progress measurement criteria.
