Abstract

This paper examines the Scottish physical activity research collaboration. The Scottish physical activity research collaboration aims to contribute to the evidence base on physical activity and health by evaluating the effectiveness of specific practice-based interventions. Also aims to disseminate the above evidence amongst practitioners, policy makers and academics in appropriate ways and to facilitate the use of evidence to inform policy and practice. Raises the profile of research on health-related physical activity in Scotland with the academic community, research funding bodies, policy makers and practitioners.
