Scotland-Africa Partnerships: progress and challenges: RSE Africa Working Group Scoping Report 2: August – November 2024

Research output: Book/ReportCommissioned report

Abstract

The Africa Working Group (AWG) at the RSE is committed to creating and supporting
positive and meaningful engagement between Scotland and countries across
the African continent. In summer 2023, I had the privilege of undertaking a scoping
project for the AWG, to provide an overview of current connections between Scottish
higher education institutes (HEIs) and Africa. That project resulted in a published report, a baseline directory, and a November workshop bringing together key collaborators. A primary observation of the scoping project, and of contributors across academic schools and professional services, was that there was scope for yet more work to be done.
