Abstract

The status of 20 digital libraries around the world is studied. The libraries home pages, journal articles, access, information retrieval, search features, output format and links to other Internet resources were studied to extract the features of these libraries. The studies revealed two different types of digital libraries, one that will be subject- and document -specific digital libraries and other will be hybrid libraries.
