Abstract
A blog post outlining essential guidelines to follow in order to collect child speech data in the field. The blog post crucially provides a protocol for consideration to be made on selecting recording equipment in order to ensure high-quality audio is recorded for subsequent acoustic analysis of child speech data. This post fills a gap in the research community where there is a lack of resources on specification of recording equipment and setups used to record child speech.
