Abstract

There is a need for novel biomarkers for prostate cancer in order to better differentiate significant from insignificant disease. The stiffness of prostates to detect prostate cancer has been used for hundreds of years with digital rectal examination (DRE), this however is poorly sensitive as a test. The E-finger probe is small enough to fit on the tip of an index finger underneath a glove.
