Abstract

The use of a high powered ultrasound source in promoting the Pauson-Khand reaction has been extensively investigated. In conjunction with amines and N-oxide techniques, this developed methodology allows efficient access to a range of cyclopentenones in rapid reaction times and good to excellent yields.
