Processing of model dilute carbohydrate wastes using Aspergillus niger in disc fermenters

Abstract

Disc fermenters were used to examine sugar removal and attached biomass formation by A. niger from continuous flow, low strength (0. 1–0.4%) glucose feeds. The performance of A. niger in the process was compared with a mixed population derived from sewage sludge.
