N2 - The second part of this special issue on asteroid and space debris science and technology collects nine papers on recent methods to study the dynamics of space debris, predict their orbit, analyse their long term effect on the space environment and remove them from their orbit. These nine papers are followed by six papers on asteroids, which feature innovative deflection methods, like the nuclear cycler, which fractionates nuclear blasts to make them more controllable and less prone to single point failures, and innovative techniques to control the tumbling motion of small asteroids using lasers.
