Abstract

This white paper presents the current position of the maritime industry and explains the advantages of circular economy applications, as well as the opportunities for stakeholders. Delving into maritime circularity options at both component and vessel levels, a thorough exploration is conducted through workshops and webinars. The outcomes are articulated through a gap analysis and SWOT analysis, combining insights derived from the substantial contributions of diverse maritime stakeholders. Finally, suggested avenues for future studies are explained with respect to technical, financial, safety, and environmental aspects.
