Abstract

Multi-wavelength laser sources are central to a large number of applications, such as mm and THz-wave generation via Photomixing or Four Wave Mixing, and as light sources for DWDM systems. Most of these applications require the monolithic integration of several DFB lasers on the same chip with very precise and accurate control over the closely-spaced emission wavelengths. In this paper we present the design, fabrication and characterization of a multi-DFB laser array with high resolution wavelength spacing.
