Abstract

This paper reports measurement of the R-line and 4T24A2 emission spectra of Cr3+ ions in RF-sputtered yttrium gallium garnet (YGG) thin films. The variation of the shape of the R-line and its vibronic sideband with composition of the YGG thin film is discussed.
