Patchwork assessment

    Research output: Non-textual formBlog Post

    Abstract

A patchwork assessment is a larger piece of assessed work (a patchwork) that is made up of a variety of smaller assessment pieces (patches).

The patchwork is commonly spread across a module or series of sessions. However, the method can also be used across a year and even a whole programme.

In this way, formative tasks are stitched together to produce a fully-justified summative assessment with multiple opportunities for feedback throughout.
