Passive stabilisation of an SBR-mode-locked Nd:KGW laser by nonlinear absorption in indium phosphide

Abstract

We demonstrate, for the first time to our knowledge, that passive stabilisation using inverse saturable absorption in indium phosphide expands the parameter range for stable continuous wave mode-locking in a diode-pumped passively mode-locked Nd:KGW laser.
