Abstract
We demonstrate an optical labeling system using frequency-shift-keying (FSK) for label encoding and pulse-position-modulation (PPM) for payload modulation. The scheme relieves the extinction-ratio impairment in systems using FSK for labeling and on-off-keying for payload modulation.
