My Ain Folk: an Easy Guide to Scottish Family History

Graham S. Holton, Jack Winch

Research output: Book/ReportBook

Abstract

This is a guide to tracing Scottish ancestry. The book covers the latest information and communication technology in a manner that should be of particular use to the beginner. Charlemagne, El Cid, St Margaret, the Byzantine Emperor Constantine VII and John McPhail, a Greenock mail-coach guard, may seem to have little in common, yet they were all ancestors of Graham Holton, one of the authors of the book. The connection between illustrates the popularity of ancestor-hunting.
