Mutual self structuring and novel Kerr-like fragmentation in coupled light/matter-wave interactions

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contribution book

Abstract

We demonstrate fragmentation of coherent vortex light beams propagating through a Bose-Einstein Condensate. We show the dependence on the beam's orbital angular momentum and the novel formation of coupled light/matter-wave solitons carrying angular momentum.
