Multiple access interference noise suppression in an optical CDMA system by time gating with the TOAD

Abstract

We demonstrate error-free operation of 4 simultaneous users in a fast frequency-hopping time-spreading OCDMA system. SOA-based ultrafast all-optical sampling gate was used to eliminate multiple access interference and to increase the number of simultaneous users.
