Abstract

A method of monitoring a property of a dissolution of an at least partially solid dosage form 103 during a dissolution process, and a device 100 for dissolving and monitoring a property of a dissolution of a dosage form. The method comprising at least partially dissolving the dosage form, and during the dissolution of the dosage form, simultaneously monitoring the property of the dissolution of the dosage form in progress by low coherence interferometry. The device comprising a dissolution apparatus 102 for at least partially dissolving the dosage form and a monitoring apparatus 101 for monitoring a property of a dissolution of an at least partially solid dosage form during a dissolution process by low coherence interferometry.
