Abstract

The milk production of 6 cows infected with 15000 infective trichostrongylid larvae per week for 9 weeks in early lactation was compared with the milk production of 6 uninfected cows. After adjustment for differences in pre-infection milk production by covariance analysis, the infected cows produced 2.16 kg/day less milk than the uninfected cows.
