Abstract
The locale of the paper is to ameliorate the performance of the heating furnace.
The AMIGO tuning technique is utilized to find tuning parameters (K p, K i and K d) for designing the controller. Various optimization techniques available like Nelder-Mead, Interior-Point, Active-Set and SQP are used to find the value of differ-integrals (λ and μ). Utilizing all the values obtained by the mentioned techniques the PID controller with fractional elements is designed to meliorate the performance of the heating furnace when it is being placed in a closed loop along with the controller.
