Abstract

In 2019 we were excited by further evidence of Methods and Applications in Fluorescence (MAF) attracting, supporting and promoting the highest quality research in fluorescence. MAF's 2018 citations Impact Factor not only remained top in the field but also attained an all-time high of 2.94. This has been achieved because of the high standard of papers submitted and the diligent work of all our reviewers in ensuring a high quality threshold for acceptance. Success leads to success and we are in no doubt that although there maybe annual fluctuations the overall impact factor is on a strong upwards trajectory. Indeed if we look at the 2019 publications we can already see reassuring evidence for this.
