Abstract

The EU Structural Funds in Austria are implemented within the existing system of regional economic development support which is characterised by high levels of institutional complexity. The article looks at the impact of EU membership and the integration of EU funding in Austria concluding with a number of recommendations for future Structural Fund programme periods
