Abstract
A method for determining causal attention of a subject includes obtaining a first data stream indicative of one or both of i) eye movement and ii) gaze direction of the subject as the subject is viewing a scene in a field of view of the subject, obtaining a second data stream indicative of visual content in the field of view of the subject, detecting, based on the first data stream and the second data stream, an attention session of the subject, in response to detecting the attention session, determining, based on analysis of the visual content seen by the subject, a cause for behavior of the subject during the attention session, generating a causal attention output indicting the determined cause for the behavior of the subject, and causing the causal attention output to be provided to a user.
