Abstract

This volume brings together two major topics: Human Jobs and Computer Interfaces. Increasingly, the former involves the latter. People work through the interface when using information technology but also in various other instances of computer-mediated systems. The present volume offers insight into the problems and pitfalls of this arena by providing concepts and examples that elucidate the role of the interface at work in different contexts for different groups and professions.
