Abstract
Discusses the UK Government's freezing of Icelandic funds under the Anti-terrorism, Crime and Security Act 2001, by way of the Landsbanki Freezing Order 2008. Considers whether the basis of the action was lawful. Comments on the possibility of challenge. Examines the salient provisions and scope of the 2001 Act. Looks at the design and effectiveness of legislation targeting terrorist financing.
