Abstract

Reports on a study of internal reviews in homelessness cases from the perspective of the homeless. Considers the reasons for non pursuit of internal reviews including: (1) ignorance of the right to internal reviews; (2) scepticism about internal reviews; (3) the rule bound image of the decision making process; (4) applicant fatigue; (5) satisfaction with adverse decisions; and (6) finding other solutions to homelessness.
