Abstract
With regulations driving ever tighter homes, the performance of ventilation systems in practice is of paramount importance. This presentation will discuss the potential risk of poor ventilation and overheating in contemporary airtight housing in a warming world. The outcomes of various building performance and air quality monitoring projects will be presented, along with examples of typical causes of poor ventilation. The presentation will also highlight the work of the HEMAC network and explain a range of activities planned for the coming year.
