Abstract
Reports on a consultation document published by the Scottish Government on possible reforms to the children's hearing system. Supports the creation of a single national body to replace the bodies currently organised at local authority level and the consistency of practice that will result. Regrets that proposed amendments to the grounds for referral to the children's hearing are not open for consultation, referring in particular to the problem of children being referred for consensual sexual activity.
