Generative design tools for novice designers: issues for selection

Abstract

Computer-based generative design tools are often restricted in their scope due to implementation issues. These simple applications can serve as teaching aids for novice designers. Characterizations of generative tools and methods are described as a means of determining appropriate pedagogical tools.
