GATHERING: on the poetry anthology

Research output: Contribution to conferencePaper

Abstract

Contribution to a panel alongside Calum Rodger, Jane Goldman and Nicky Melville. This paper discusses the work of anthologising, drawing on my experience co-editing the weird folds: everyday poems from the anthropocene. I propose a speculative, collaborative approach to anthologising which arranges itself around conceptual and ethical issues. In this panel we discussed issues of abundance, economies of scale, collaboration, deixis, metapoetics, belatedness, blogging, programming, epistolary and communicative labour.
