Abstract

SWIIS Fostercare Scotland commissioned researchers from the University of Strathclyde to conduct an independent evaluation of the agency's support arrangements in relation to the education of children and young people placed with their foster carers. SWIIS intends to use the results of the evaluation to guide the development of the service and to provide evidence of quality assurance for clients. The fieldwork upon which the report is based was conducted between February and June 2009.
