Abstract

The paper analyses the coherence of European regional policy with the aim of territorial cohesion. It argues that to date the Structural Funds have contributed to the delivery of increased territorial cohesion and highlights some critical considerations in relation to the future role of European regional policy in the context of an enlarged Union.
